
BDP Solutions Ltd is currently upgrading the cargo handling system for Silk Way at the Baku Logistics Centre. The upgrade will convert the existing single-level system (installed 6 years ago) to a multi-level system, served by 2 Elevating Transfer Vehicles (ETVs). This upgrade will more than double the cargo terminal handling capacity with the capability of loading / unloading 2 747 freighters simultaneously. The new system will be fully operational by January 2012.
