From the moment that Silk Way Airlines first took to the air 10 years ago in 2001, the company made the tremendous fleet and network growth.
By working together with the Azerbaijan Airlines to secure the State reputation as a key regional hub, Silk Way Airlines is unique carrier with the newest IL-76 and Boeing freighter built aircrafts.
Over the past 10 years, Silk Way has extensive experience with establishing regular service into areas not serviced by scheduled flights. We have worked extensively with Governments and non governments organizations providing dedicated solution for the complex requests on daily basis. In 2010 itself Silk Way performed over 1600 flights into Afghanistan on L-76TD and An-12 a/c types, which make up the core of fleet. With delivery of B747 Freighters, Silk Way Airlines become able to open the regular cargo services and open long haul flights between the continents. Our investment into new aircraft continues, including two more Boeing 767-300F planned to deliver in year 2012.
